At the recent SATS congress held in Durban , Quenton Greene from Medequip proudly presented the 2nd bi-annual Geoff Bacon Award to CYNTHIA NEL from Nelspruit Medi-Clinic in Mpumalanga on behalf of Swann-Morton.

In support of the SATS ethos and commitment to ongoing education, the award recognizes research undertaken in peri operative care  by OT nurses as part of their studies in obtaining  registration in Operating Theatre Nursing Science. The award is administered by the Executive board of SATS and is a fitting tribute to a colleague still greatly missed by all who knew him within the profession.
